The VWR Cold-Air Intake System kit delivers cold fresh air from outside the engine bay straight to your engine for Golf 6 GTI and Golf 6 R 2.0 Turbo models via a large-diameter free-flowing intake pipe.
Our latest product is the VWR Cold-Air Intake System kit, enabling cold, dense air from outside the engine bay to reach the fuel metering unit more efficiently for 2.0 Turbo engines in Golf 6.
We developed the VWR Cold-Air Intake System for use in the race cars that do not have to run with the standard airbox. So we needed to get the highest flow efficiency possible, but combined with the most effective levels of filtration using a Formula One-specification of foam. The end result is that we are offering the exact Cold-Air Intake System that we use in our race cars, but also one of the most popular modifications to make to a road car.
Through greatly improving airflow, and keeping the intake temperatures as low as the ambient temperatures will allow, this makes a significant difference to the power that the engine can produce especially when combined with revised engine mapping and higher power outputs.
The system can deliver as much as 9% more effective peak power at the wheels of a standard car, and in some cases at 500rpm less revs in doing so.
The kits come with a black-anodised aluminium housing with the VWR logo, stainless steel or plated screws, nuts and washers to fully enhance the appearance and durability of each kit – and greatly improve the appearance of your engine bay!
